Polyethylene foam rod for sealing applications

Joint bottom or closed cell extruded polyethylene foam cord, to support the elastomeric sealants and achieve the correct size of the joints. Specially designed for application as a depth limiter in all types of sealing and cold expansion joints (up to + 90ºC **).

Joint depth limiter that can be used indoors and outdoors, for both horizontal and vertical joints.

Polyethylene foam profiles for joint filling suitable for correctly dimensioning the joint section of industrial, ceramic and natural stone floorings before filling with elastomeric sealants.
It can also be used to size the joints between precast panels, between anchors and supporting structure, etc.

General Properties

Application mode

1. Before placing the cord, it must be verified that the inside of the joint, all its depth, is clean and free of dirt and other elements; use of a nozzle vacuum is recommended.
2. The cord will be inserted by light pressure on the inside of the joint at the intended depth. It is recommended to always use a diameter greater than the width of the joint to be sealed. For example, for a 12mm wide joint, a 15mm bead should be used.
3. Fill the joint with the appropriate sealant.

Important: The dimensioning of the joint, its width and depth must be defined according to the expected movements, the elastic modulus of the sealant and the use for which it will be used.
