Novopared Maxi / Novosuelo Maxi - Composite edge corner profile

PVC corner profile with an “L” -shaped section intended for placement as an edge protector on the edges of ceramic installations. This profile, made of high-quality PVC, can also be installed as a floor separator or finish for countertops, among others. It is available in a wide range of colors.

Applications

Novosuelo/Novopared Maxi is a profile designed to protect the edges of ceramic or plaster installations and to separate floors. Novosuelo/Novopared Maxi is not recommended for use as a stair nosing, as the profile may be damaged. Other products in the Maxi range are available for this application.

Installing Maxi outdoors may result in a natural variation in its original color, which is significantly higher in the earth tone range. To avoid these possible color variations due to continuous sun exposure, we recommend installing the Maxi range indoors.

Materials

Maxi is a composite material belonging to the WPC (Wood Plastic Composites) family, made of PVC and plant fibers. These fibers come from recycled organic agricultural waste. By reducing waste and recycling materials, Maxi fulfills its commitment to the environment and sustainable construction.

Maxi has an original finish, similar to wood and natural elements, which adapts to different decorative environments. The main advantage of this compound is that it possesses the best qualities of PVC and plant fibers, such as good mechanical strength, abrasion resistance, and dimensional stability, among others.

Placement

On walls

1. Flatten one of the walls at which angle you will place the Novosuelo / Novopared. Then spread plenty of bonding material on the remaining wall to be plastered and where you will place the profile.
2. Place the Novosuelo / Novopared over the angle and press so that the bonding material passes through the machined holes in the fixing flange.
3. Place tiles along the fixing flange by pressing for optimal adhesion.
4. Continue tiling until installation is complete.
5. Clean any material residue and allow to dry.

On soils

1. Spread plenty of bonding material over the surface where the flooring is to be installed.
2. Then position the profile and press it so that the gripping material passes through the punches on the fixing flange.
3. Place a tile on the profile fixing flange and press for optimum contact with the bonding material.
4. Repeat the operation placing tiles on both sides of the profile until the installation is complete. Before setting occurs, tap gently with a rubber hammer to flush the profile with the pavement.
5. Finally clean the excess material and let it dry.

* If you plan to polish the floor, install the profile slightly below the tile to avoid possible damage.

Cleaning and maintenance

Cleaning can be done with water and detergent or specific cleaner in solution. The correct use of bleach does not affect you.

The use of chromic acid, sulfuric acid, or organic solvents such as ethyl acetate, acetone, or toluene is not recommended.
