Novopeldaño Astra Nori - Polymer Stair nosing profile step edge

Stair nosing profile made of an extra resistant polymer specially developed to obtain the bestbenefits in all kind of environments. Not only indoors but also in submerged or humid environmentsor outdoors. Thanks to the addition of biocides, which prevent from mold growing, it stands stable inhumid and submerged environments.

This material has a great impact resistance, improved in theformulation with several additives and a perfect balance of mineral reinforcer, which allows its use infloorings with guarantees. The colors available are stable and durable, thanks to the studied dosage of maximum solidity dyes, preserving its appearance along the time.

This stair nosing profile is to be installed after the tiling work with adhesiveor screws, being the perfect option for new projects or rehabilitation andreform works.

Available in three colors that can integrate with the mosttrendy finishes in floorings in the markets or make a contrast with them.

Materials

Extra resistant polymer, expressly developed to obtain the best performance in all kinds of environments, not only indoors but also submerged, in humid environments or outdoors. Thanks to the incorporation of biocides, which prevent mold growth, its performance in humid and submerged environments is excellent. The material also has excellent impact resistance, improved in formulation through various additives and a perfect balance in mineral reinforcer, which allows its use as a profile in pavements with guarantees.

The colors in the range are stable and durable outdoors thanks to the studied dosage of maximum strength dyes that preserve their appearance over time. Astra is the result of Emac's constant innovation, always working to offer highly functional and decorative products.

Installation

Novopeldaño Astra Nori is installed on finished cladding in a simple way.

1. Thoroughly clean the surfaces to be bonded to ensure perfect adhesion.
2. Spread abundant adhesive material on the unseen face of the Astra Novopeldaño as well as on the support, so that the entire surface is covered with it. Follow the adhesive manufacturer's instructions for installation.
3. Place the profile on the desired surface, align it against the riser and press firmly to join the surfaces. In installations with joint to head or joints between profiles, it is recommended to maintain a gap as an expansion joint that should be greater the longer the profiles to be joined, approximately 2 mm / m. This joint can be sealed with elastic joint filler suitable for outdoor use.
4. Let the adhesive dry and remove the remains of work. Respect the drying time established by the adhesive manufacturer before traveling on the product.

* The use of a two-component white polyurethane epoxy reactive adhesive of Grupopuma type or similar is recommended. The life of the adhesive is approximately one hour

This profile can be curved by applying heat, being bendable in both directions although being limited in the outer curve.

Cleaning and maintenance

The Astra material is resistant to most common cleaners, although its cleaning is recommended preferably with water and neutral detergents. The correct use of bleach does not affect it and is resistant to the most common acids. If you want to clean the grooved surface in depth, you can use a cleaning brush.

The use of organic solvents such as ethyl acetate, acetone or toluene is not recommended, as they could damage its surface appearance.
