Novotop Access Steel tactile buttons are made from zinc plated steel and designed to create tactile floor warnings to identify areas with obstacles, or areas where there is a change in height or an unprotected opening, such as stairs and open platforms. Made from galvanised steel, they are ideal for indoor and outdoor environments, and because of their tactile and non-slip texture, they are easily identifiable by users. By means of the installation template, the size and layout of the installation holes can be adjusted.

Materials

Novotop Access Steel buttons are made of zinc-plated steel, a metal with excellent properties. Zinc plating is an electrolytic or mechanical process by which parts are coated with a zinc bath to increase their protection against corrosion and oxidation and to improve their visual appearance.
Steel is a very common metal that is used in everyday utensils, tools, household appliances, housing structures, etc. It is also a metal widely used in less domestic areas such as the construction of infrastructures, the automobile or maritime industry, among others.

Novotop Access is easy to install using adhesives. You can
The installation template is available as an option but recommended.

  1. Position the template on the floor and ensure that it is correctly fixed and in its optimum position.
  2. Drill 10 mm diameter holes coinciding with the centre of all holes in the laying template.
  3. Remove the template and remove the drilling debris by vacuuming.
  4. Fill the holes with chemical sealant
  5. Insert the steel Novotop Access into the holes.
  6. Allow to dry. Observe the drying time indicated by the manufacturer.

For the installation of Novotop Access Steel you can use a commercially available chemical sealant.

Cleaning and maintenance

Novotop Access Steel does not require excessive maintenance. It is sufficient to use water and detergent or a specific neutral cleaner in solution. Outdoors, rain will act as a cleaning agent.

The use of abrasive or paint stripper products, strong acids (hydrochloric and perchloric), strong bases (caustic soda or ammonia) or carbonated solutions is not recommended.
